The essence of Indian contemporary blends with simplicity in this humble abode for a couple who extends their love and warmth to the larger community.
They wanted to remodel their existing ground-floor apartment to invite more natural light and to carve out a multifunctional space that can serve as a tv room, a guest room when needed and at other times become a part of the common space to hold meaningful interactions with the community.
We started by restructuring the layout of the house to move the kitchenette, the dining and the living areas to the periphery so that it can receive maximum natural light. A low height dining setup helps reduce the visual mass and adds more spaciousness to the house.
