About Us

Serendipity

A cultural space designed for artisans & craftsmen of Goa to experiment, demonstrate & exhibit their products and services.

Our analysis deters how the bridges of Goa play a vital role in fostering its culture and living. The little tributaries seen in the map of Goa allow existence of so many beautiful bridges that can find more purpose to it than just being a locomotive access. Also fishing as a livelihood is so prominent that as a part of the design process, we felt the need to incorporate it. The maximum water level is around 9m-15m from the bottom of the bridge slab. The unused space below the bridge and above the maximum water level gives us immense possibilities of UTILIZATION. The space below the bridge connects on one hand with land/pedestrian access and on the other hand to the water/local fishing artisans. The bridge does not have a permanent live load. Thus, a light weight structure, hung from the bridges with a vibration and sound buffer, can act as a multipurpose art, communal and gathering space. This structure would be modular in nature, thus, it can adapt according to site and context.
